Job Description:

If you love the mix of working both strategically and operationally within the People (HR) area in a fast-paced environment in one of Europe's true unicorns, this is a role for you. As Head of HR CEE, your mission will be to continue our journey and take the People dimension to the next level.

AUTO1 Group is developing rapidly and working hard to conquer the digital automotive industry. Our mission is to build the best and innovative way to buy and sell cars online. To accomplish this ambitious goal, we need to continue building the best company for the best people, and the Head of HR plays a crucial role in this. As Head of HR, you will lead the team towards achieving our long-term business plans and ambitions.

As the Head of HR, you will have the full responsibility for our CEE people organization, that continues to develop and grow. You'll be the strategic partner to the local leadership team and managers, constantly challenging the status quo and driving innovation. You will have the responsibility of making sure we systematically improve the work environment processes, and that we are compliant and best in class. Together with your team, you'll be the go-to experts for all managers and employees on all HR related matters. You will report directly to the VP AUTO1 Group CEE located in Warsaw, your matrix supervisor will be VP Operations and People in Berlin.

One of your first challenges in this position will be an active contribution to opening a Production Center with the planned employment of 400 people.

Requirements:

  • University degree (preferably related to HR and/or economy)
  • A minimum of 6 years in HR, and a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position, preferably in multinational companies, experience in a production company will be an asset
  • Readiness for business trips and cooperation in an international environment
  • Experience in cooperation with high-level management
  • Interdisciplinary knowledge in the area of HR, i.e. knowledge of various topics in the field of human resources, including remuneration practices, employee relations, employee development, employment regulations, knowledge and experience in all people processes across the employment lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of Polish employment law and practices
  • Data-driven approach with strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Excellent English knowledge
  • Readiness to manage various operational tasks and projects simultaneously

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for all HR processes, including employing the right talents, guiding employees through the employment lifecycle, implementing global and local projects, and ensuring compliance with labor law in current business and emerging Production Centers
  • Supporting the management staff in ensuring the appropriate level of employment and proper management of projects in the field of HR in line with the company's strategy
  • Acting as an advisor for senior management
  • Actively supporting high set targets on growth by making sure we recruit timely and hire the right talent
  • Collaborating closely with the international People team to input into the central HR agenda and support the roll out of central HR policies to the local teams
  • Driving people initiatives/projects, follow up on these and measure progress
  • Building positive relationships between employees
  • Supporting activities in the field of conflict resolution, internal communication
  • Participation in creating the Employer Branding strategy
  • Cooperation with social partners
