The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing sales strategy in hardware area, overseeing sales activities in pursuance of the determined business goals, will develop policies and procedures designed to increase sales, assure customer service quality, and mitigate client problems. To this end, the Business Development Director will develop and implement sales strategy and enhance client satisfaction.

Purpose of the Job:

Reporting to the MD ASSA ABLOY Region Poland, the job holder will be responsible for overseeing the sales realization and setting and achieving sales targets. A Business Development Director will be responsible for directing and coordinating sales realization as well as developing efficiency strategies to ensure the team meet business goals and standards.

  • Build and develop Business Unit strategy in the ASSA ABLOY Group on the domestic and international markets in hardware area.
  • Create and effectively implement sales strategy and policy with a special focus on indicators such as sales, margin, sourcing orders, markets, and product development.
  • Execute sales policy.
  • Manage and develop an effective sales team.
  • Supervise over budget, cost control, and optimization processes.
  • Optimize Business Unit processes, areas for improvement within the organization, and effectively implement activities.
  • Actively participate in building the organization's strategy.
  • Close cooperation with other departments and companies in the group.
  • Prepare management reporting as required.
  • Perform other duties related to manufacturing processes as assigned.
  • Effectively cooperate with the regional management.
Education, Work Experience and Personal Qualities

Master degree in technical discipline

10 years of experience in the commercial environment with a minimum of 5 years of experience as Sales Director or in other senior commercial roles

Strong project management skills and organizational skills

Good analytical skills and an understanding of financial metrics and KPI's

Experience with leading teams

Strong result orientation and commitment to success

Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Able to develop an active cooperation with colleagues and to build a team spirit

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Highest level of Business Ethics

Native Polish speaker and professional written and spoken English
