Project Description
Our client is a leading global Financial Market data provider who runs several change programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets in a real-time, high-frequency, and low-latency data management chain. The projects are technically challenging in a very engaging environment making the most of cutting-edge technologies covering the domains of Real-Time, Big Data, Cloud, and Machine Learning.
The program's main objective is to set up the foundation for a new platform to allow our clients to access analytics in a standardised and seamless way across different data analytics environments and enable internal applications teams to expose the analytics results across these channels.
Team will be working to create the standard way of moving the context between various data environments of the platformResponsibilities
• Participates in project planning sessions with clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze requirements and provides design recommendations for complex systems.
• Works with project teams to define and design the scope for each project.
• Works closely with planning and technology architects to assure all systems are in line with IT long-term strategy.
• Provides design recommendations, develops application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces.
• Makes complex modifications to existing software applications in accordance with high-level specifications and industry standards.
• Reviews effort to ensure compliance to application architecture standards.
• Develops new cross-functional software systems using disciplined software development processes.
• Carries out unit testing and implements cross-functional systems ensuring the system meets the needs of clients and businesses.
• Researches new and emerging technologies.
• Provides technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to application development teams.
• Utilizes and stays current on multiple programming languages and software technologies.
Skills
Must have
• Proven experience as a Team Lead 2+ years
• Extensive experience in software development 5+ years
• NodeJS
• Python
• Azure (app deployment)
• Azure Functions
• Azure App Service WebJobs
• VS Code APIs (other IDE APIs)
• Understanding of SCRUM methodology
Nice to have
• Financial domain knowledge
• Experience in a market-data environment
