As a  Safety & Sustainability Specialist , you'll champion safety and sustainability initiatives at Bradken. As part of our dynamic team, you'll collaborate closely with our Safety team, Site Manager and leaders to drive programs aimed at boosting safety and sustainability performance.
As an organizational consultant and facilitator, your role will involve fostering a proactive culture, ensuring compliance with regulations, and monitoring procedures to maintain acceptable risk levels by assessing the internal areas at the Chilca site.

You'll be at the forefront of investigating and reporting on accidents and incidents,  providing crucial technical support and training on health, safety, and environmental matters . Plus, you'll play a vital role in delivering engaging safety and sustainability training sessions while meticulously maintaining training records.
Additionally,  you'll assist with safety and environmental reporting, actively participate in the health and safety committee, and support compliance activities such as monitoring, reporting, and risk assessments . Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you analyze safety and sustainability performance, recommending and implementing improvement initiatives.
Reporting to our Regional Sustainability Business Partner - SAM , you'll oversee fostering a safety-first culture, emphasizing risk reporting, zero workplace injury, and continuous improvement. You'll be instrumental in shaping and nurturing a culture that aligns with Bradken's values and the "One Bradken" approach.
To thrive in this role,  you'll need to have self-management skills and be passionate about driving S&E (Safety and Environment initiatives) programs, training with a safety culture transformation and change management focus , along with policy implementation will be key as you embark on this exciting journey with us.
Key Technical Criteria
· 3 years of experience minimum of Health, Safety, and Environment experience in manufacturing or resources.
· Experience in Foundry environment (Desirable but not mandatory)
· Proficiency in regulatory requirements assessment and their application.
· Experience in HS&E initiatives, programs, and training.
· Proficiency in incident investigation and injury management.
· Experience in policy and procedure development and implementation.
· Demonstrated ability in safety culture transformation and change management. (Desirable but not mandatory)
· Experience in unionized industrial environments. (Desirable but not mandatory)
· English Basic-Intermediate Level.
