Telephone Operator (Lima-2023-024)

DUTIES : Frequently the first official contact of the Embassy for a visitor, incumbent supports the Embassy switchboard and receptionist operations utilizing tact, diplomacy, politeness, and competency. The incumbent provides services and support as a telephone operator, a receptionist, and a backup timekeeper. The incumbent communicates frequently with both American and Peruvian citizens requesting information or services from the Embassy on a variety of different issues in both English and Spanish. Position will also meet both internal and external visitors to the Embassy and coordinate their arrival. Position is supervised by the Telephone Supervisor.

EXPERIENCE : A minimum of one year of work experience in administrative, clerical, or telephone switchboard operations is required.

EDUCATION : At least two years of college/post-secondary studies is required.
