Job Description

We're investing in our business by opening a state-of-the-art production facility in Malaysia which will be XP Power's largest factory. The expansion plays a crucial role in XP Power's global growth strategy with increased production capacity, with a strong focus on sustainability as we work towards net zero carbon emissions by 2040.

To ensure our people strategy is a success, we need an experienced HR Manager to support our business leaders in the design, build, implementation, and embedding of all people related activity. In this role, you will move from our current building foundations to operational excellence across all functional areas to deliver business requirements. You will need good business understanding and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, able to build consensus and positive collaborative approaches among key stakeholders in Importante empresa, operations and supply chain, as well as regional and global HR.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded HR business partner with experience of working within a dynamic global business. The role will cover the full range of HR practices ranging from organization design, recruitment, onboarding and training, as well as pay and benefits structures alongside delivering effective people manager support and leadership development.

By being a trusted partner, you'll work with senior leaders on Org Design, Recruitment of key roles, Onboarding, training new employees and supporting on day to day employee relations. Driving understanding and awareness of how to create the environment which will deliver a culture that embodies XP Power, to promote, develop, and encourage high performance throughout the site.

Through your coaching partnerships, you'll work with local senior leaders, Executive Leaders for Asia and the global HR community to build and develop teams' capabilities across the site. You will encourage a collaborative environment to enhance partnerships among the Asia HR team.

You will identify and deliver effective HR practice across the site to ensure XP Power is a great place to work and recognized as an employer of choice. As this is build up from the ground, you'll need to be a 'hands-on' person. In the 1st instance, you'll be an individual collaborator who'll later be responsible for building an HR team.

Qualifications

Extensive experience of working as an HR leader within a manufacturing organization, ideally in an environment of significant growth. As a trusted business partner, you'll have experience in working in collaboration with senior leaders in a dynamic global organization undergoing significant change. You are an inspirational leader, with strong influencing and relationship-building ability, who champions a diverse and inclusive culture. Proven experience of leading and implementing people change programs. Good spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu are required. Ability to speak Mandarin will be an added advantage. Proven experience of understanding Malaysia Employment Law.
