As a GMD Senior Field Service Engineer, you will execute service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. You will be in close cooperation with customers and other ABB teams, acting as the technical point while delivering quality and satisfying customer service. In this role you will be responsible for providing routine maintenance and on-site or remote technical support. The position involves approximately 70% of travel, as you will be providing hands-on assistance at customer sites.

Your responsibilities
  • Execute services in the installed base of GMDs and drive systems: installation, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades.
  • Supervise technical personnel in charge of the execution of their tasks.
  • Support to the sales team in the technical definition of proposals.
  • Preparation and execution of training courses for clients.
  • Develop maintenance plans and define technical solutions.
Your background
  • Bachelor´s Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic, Mechanic Engineering or related.
  • Five years of experience working in similar positions.
  • Knowledge and work experience in control systems.
  • Basic GMD Work Experience.
  • Knowledge of low voltage equipment, safety in electrical work.
  • Experience in mining plant work.
  • Occupational Safety Training.
  • Knowledge of drives, rectifiers and power converters, electrical machines and protection systems and IEDs is desirable.

  • Experience in Leadership.
  • Solving problems, Customer oriented, good ability to work as a team, Ownership and Analysis capability.
  • Advanced English level is desirable.
  • Availability to travel (70%).
